The one time I let my friend put Sierra away he forgets to put the top on all the way,of course.
The good thing is it's in the basement the bad thing...it's in the basement.

And so I would like to ask, how long can fuzzies be left out for?

Never give up! Completely tear apart that basement XD. Thank god you aren't here, in the heat of texas, he would only last an hour or so.

It happens to everyone eventually...Animals are great at finding other animals; let your dog sniff around some...yours can go a long time before eating, keep water out and just keep looking :*)

Yeah my dogs seams very sniffy near a few spots and i put traps there
That is sad.I did the exact same thing to my son.I put away his cornsnake and didnt get the lid on right.Felt really bad too.

Yeah it happens as Chris said

Thanks:)

The thing that helped me find my escapee was remembering how they like to move around a room, check against the walls...any place thats warmer than usual. that kind of thing.
Good luck!

Aw man, I really feel for you. I'm in the process of moving, and was gone for about a week. When I got home a bunch of my corn's bins were closed incorrectly, VERY close to the edge. One of the bins (where the most valuable snake in my collection resides of course) was even open just a slight crack.

Thankfully all of my snakes were in their rightful places. I can't even begin to describe how relieved I was. I think my remaining roommate must have been showing them off to someone at some point during the week and didn't push the bins back in all the way. I'm just so glad there were no escapes!

Perhaps try placing hides with heating pads around the basement so the snake will be attracted to the warmth. Once I had a baby escape during winter and crawled onto me. I woke up with her on my face. I must have been the warmest thing in the room, and I'm pretty thankful for it. That was a VERY close call.

Another past escapee years back was found hiding out under the hot tub.

Good luck, keep faith. All I can add is looking back, I'm pretty thankful for my rack! It's pretty much escape proof, thank goodness.

 Thats the best ending to an escape attempt I think I've ever heard. I'm still laughing...lol!

Yea!!! you found your snake.I lost one cornsnake years ago 3 different times(my bad) .But I swear this snake was magic. We always found her.

How's your gramma? Did it give her a fright or was she ok with it? My grandmother would probably die if she saw a snake on the floor...even if it was the size of a toothpick she'd freak. LOL...i still love her though.
