I have discussed this question with Paul Belmore (Pasco Paul) who developed this line by selecting for the pink color for many years. He says they are not hybrids.Well that's one PINK snakey! Stunning!!!
What do you, Poppy, think of the thought brought up in the other thread that Champagnes might be hybrids?
It's a joke. Just having some gentle fun with the folks that get all worked up debating whether or not Champagnes are hybrids by suggesting that they are so beautiful and special they must have spontaneously generated from crystals. I am not too hung up on where the gene(s) come from. In my view, the Champagnes can not only be stunning on their own, but I suspect they also have the potential to enhance other morphs in unique ways.I <3 amethyst, and that's a gorgeous photo. That said, I don't understand its relationship to the title of the thread.
