The perfect shed.

I was a bit worried that the humidity was too low because my corn had not shed yet even though his eyes cleared 4 days ago.

I went on ebay and ordered a hygrometer for his viv and 30 seconds after I commited to buy I looked over and the skin was pulled back on his head.

Well I must say since this was the first time I have ever seen a snake shed it was a rather impressive sight.

15 mins later and I now have a perfect tip to tail one piece shed :D

Hey congrats on the first shed, that was exciting for me too! There's no completely accurate way to measure how long he is from the shed (at least not as far as I know) since the stretch on each shed can vary. My corn is just barely over 4ft long, but his shed was almost 4 1/2 ft if I remember correctly, and the next time he shed, it was 4 1/4 ft long shed. So it varies each time it sheds too.

There's probably a thread somewhere in here on how to accurately measure your snake if you do a search for it. I have just had my husband help me hold him and use a flexible tape measure along our corn's belly.
