the significance of size

I bought my first corn (a really sweet 0.0.1 anery B, but I call it 'him' anyway, and I love him and he is my baby, but I digress) at the New England Herp Expo about 2 and a half weeks ago, and according to the hatching date given to me by the breeder, he's now 10 weeks old.

He's 13" long (at least two inches of which he's added since he's been in my care), and taking two pinkies fairly easily.

Is this unheard of for a corn his age, or do I have some kind of adorable radioactive monstrosity on my hands?

Not a monstrosity at all. Quite normal in fact. Expect it to be around 24" at a year of age, give or take a few. If you power feed, obviously it'll be much bigger. I bought mine last October at an expo and they're both over 24", with one pushing about 27".

Thank you for the verification. The only references I'd been able to find for size AND age in non-adults were snakes that had been malnourished, and were therefore about 5 months old and smaller than he is, so I wasn't sure.

And he is voracious when it comes to food. It's very nice not to have to worry about his appetite. I've got enough hassle dealing with my roommate's sense of guilt about the baby mice in the freezer.

Thanks again!
