about 4 months ago I have a albino striped california kingsnake get out of a tank with a crappy lid. My fault for not securingit better. Well I blamed the cat for eating the snake. Last night i was sitting at my PC working on my domain and my daughter comes running out of her room into mine. She was playing her computer at the time. She tells me to come to here room and that i will not believe what she has to show me. I thought she blew up her PC or something of that nature because the look on her face was one of disbelief. So anyhow I go in and she points into her computer desk enclosure which houses her PC and she tells me that she thinks that is where rafiki went. She says she saw a snake head. I am think Oh great that is where what is left of the body is. I pull the PC partially out and low and behold there is my kingsnake. In perfect health!

I grab him and check him out. Not a mark on him except for the scar he got at the petstore where i rescued him from. I give him a bath and he drinks like a camel. I set up a new tank for him(lucky I still had an extra with a heater). I go defrost him 2 pinkies and he CHOWS!. 10 minutes later he is back to his grumpy self rattling his tail and acting all tough.

Ofcoure my wife who hates snakes made me eat crow and apologize 20 times to her cat who i so quickly blamed.

All is well now and after he has regained some stregnth I will see what to do with him. She wants him out of the house so maybe i'll take him to work. She does not mind the corns but does not like him at all. Lucky for him she was not the one who discovered his spot.

All in all a merry x-mas came early. Hell he was probably hibernating somewhere.

Merry x-mas herpers.

yay

Sweet!!!!

I find cats are almost the last to find snakes! I have had an escapee twice now with three cats in the house...both times the "MIA" came back unharmed. :)

Yay..happy ending! I know what you mean about the cats, my dog is useless at finding the escapee (unless she has eaten her, but she'd be all guilty if she had I reckon).
Well, gives me some more hope that Macy will turn up. Just laid a fresh 'trap' for her last night so fingers crossed....
