Hey I'm needing a nuther thermostat and don't really want to have to fork out a nuther 129 for a nuther helix. What do you guys use and how are they doing for ya ?

I prefer Spyder Robotics Herpstat to Helix. But it isn't that much less expensive. My Helix DBS-1000 went wacky once when it was controlling two large racks. The racks didn't exceed the 500W rated load of the Helix, but it screwed up anyway. I now have that controlling a single rack, a Herpstat controlling another single rack, and a second Herpstat controlling two large racks. The Herpstat controlling the two racks has been consistent and reliable.

I have a couple of Herpstats that I like. I also have a Big Apple Herp analog thermostat. It kinda blows. No temperature readout so you have to test it with a thermometer constantly. And it buzzes.

Yeah i think i mightpick up a herpstat Ive been reading bad things about helix "that there not as good as they used to be" so i might as well get a herpstat haven't read anything bad about them yet sept there sold out everywhere till the 15th lol
