They're Pipping!

JAG 32

look at that face :)
YEAH - day 70 and 3 out out of 16 are pipping!!!! I'll get back with more pictures after i get done working at the zoo. :) John

WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!

I forget, who was Rico bred to? And what do ya expect for hatchlings:)?

Rico was bred to a normal het. hypo - so i'm just expecting normal hatchlings (het. amel poss. het hypo) - i'll post pics in the photo gallery when i get some, although one "normal" is REALLY light compared to it's sibiling (only 2 hatched so far, 2 more pipping) :) I'm SOOOOOOO excited.

TOTALLY CONFUSED!!!! Yes this is my first clutch - EVER! And now i have a genetic mystery on hand. The mom - bought from a pet store - as an amel (no hets known) - bought a male normal het. hypo (no other hets known) and now this is what i see coming out (2 hatchlings, 2 noses)

2 normals (one hatch, one pip)
1 hypo (one pip)
1 ghost (more than likely a ghost, silver background with brown saddles) (one hatch)

So it looks like the mom is an amel het. hypo, anery and the dad is a normal het. hypo, anery :) i hope i figured this out right, there will be a thread in the photo gallery and in the Genetics forum about this as soo as i can get some good pics. :)

I love it when that happens! You could potentially get Hypo Snows from this clutch. How cool would that be? Good luck!

Chris

I love it too! It lets me try out my genetics skills and if my first ever clutch of normals wasn't good enough, suprizes are even better :)
