Here are a couple of e-mails from a lady who purchased one of my hatchlings this year. I saw a thread on how frustrating some people can be after purchasing a snake, and thought that sharing my little success story could help us remember why we are doing this and to show that even though it seems that 90% of people make things so hard on us, it's the other 10% that really make it worth while.

Hi,
Not having had a snake before, I don't know if his behavior is normal, but he seems to be doing well. When i got him home, I filled up the same zip lock with a little bit of water and he drank a lot of it. I held him for a little bit because he was still cold and then put him in the tank. i was messing around with him for a little bit, but then I read your thing where it says don't mess with him for 10 days, so I've been letting him alone. he went to the bathroom already. He has been moving around a little and he's also dug himself under the bark and hiding in the little coconut hide I have for him. I had a coconut bark climbing mat that is basically flat and is standing verticle and he can crawl right up it. His body seems firm and warm. So, I keep checking the humidity, temp and making sure he has enough water, and everything is normal. when I do start to handle him, should I wait a day after feeding and should I just pick him up every day or let him chill? Thanks for all the info

Hey,
here are some pictures. I tried to get one of the whole enclosure, but my camera ran out of batteries...as usual. Let me know if everything you see is okay. They are kind of like the same picture. And in that picture I have the little hut he is in turned so you can see him, but usually it not facing the front.

I'm also glad to report that she is listening to all my advice, and has absolutely no problems e-mailing me if something occurs that confuses her or if she doesn't understand it. I have been lucky that most of my customers from last year are also this responsible.

Thats wonderful :D And by the looks of those pictures that is a lucky little snake. That setup looks really spiffy. And that little snakey is beautiful too ;D

Wonderful!

I guess my post was one of the ones that inspired you to affirm that there are success stories after all! -It looks like he's going to have a great home with this new owner. I have to add that I've also had some lovely people give me feedback when they're loving everything about their perfect new little snake...not just the neurotic la-la's who affectionatley yet misinformedly try to love their snake to death!

Good stuff! :)

That looks like one hatchling that has certainly landed on his ...... erm ..... feet? .... lol ..... that turn of phrase doesn't really make a lot of sense when applied to a snake does it. :sidestep:

I looked at your current hatchlings and the one that I liked the most is MIA :( Was that normal really that dark in person? If so and if he shows up let me know :D

It's like 'ear-marking' a snake as a keeper!!!

He really wasn't that dark, it's just a bad pic. There is, however, a sister of his that is a really dark normal, and she kinda shines like pics of Kisatchies I've seen. She really is beautiful. It's #9. If you're interested...... ;)
