Think I have a problem

You cant stop at just one
I posted a few weeks ago saying my snake wouldnt eat. I waited till feed day again and still it wont eat. It strikes at the mouse but wont eat it.

So I decided to lift up the tail, it looks as though there is about 10 round (eggs) inside.?? I thought it was a male. Though Ive never had it sexed.
It is in a split 75 gallon tank with plexiglass in between but I found them together once and split them up. Not noticing which one was which. The other one my buddy told me was bought as a female snow.

So Im assuming this one is the female now.

Shes been extremely active searching her side of the viv for about a week now.
I hardly ever see her other wise.

How do I know when she'll drop her eggs if this is whats happening?

How long does it take to know when she will?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Can you get some pics of her up and maybe some closeups of these possible eggs? If they are eggs..I think 160g is to small..How old is she and how long is she and when was the last time she ate?

She is not really big enough to breed. I hope that she will pass the eggs, but you'll need to give her a lay box that she will feel comfortable laying them in. This means a dark place that is filled with a humid somewhat damp medium (moss is used by most probably). The fact that she's zooming around the cage means she's probably looking for somewhere now to lay them.

Hopefully you understand now that snakes need their own vivs, not just a temporary fix to split one.. I hope it doesn't cost you one of your snakes..

My bad Pet shop told me female and buddy told me snow was female. Thats why I split the tank

risking one of my snakes isnt cool thats why im asking questions

Are you positive the other snake is a female? Then no harm done. If you didn't breed her, accidentally or not, then she just has slugs, which- how can she be too young for that?? I mean, her body did it to herself. Weird. Yup- she ought to be very relieved to have a lay box!

just for the record. if the tanks are split fully and there is no way for them to get to each other, then i see no problem in splitting the tank if both snakes have adequate room.

I was thinking of doing the same for mine...

i'd like to see pics of the tank and the snake if you don't mind

I'm going to run to the pet store to get some moss and something to put it in.

Every time I put new water in she made a mess of it. While I'm going to the store I took all the bedding that was wet and put it over the heater and covered that with the hide.

Post pics in a bit if shes cooperative

When you set up a nest box, the moss should be damp not wet and not over the heat pad (UTH). More in the middle or cooler side.
Yes slugs are unfertalized eggs.

I quite agree. Except as mentioned they were found together once which makes me think that caging was kinda' haphazard, possibly an afterthought. If done right, a split cage can certainly be 'two vivs', but then if done right how could you later find them together?

I'm just reacting to what I read here, but I still wish him the best of luck.

Well I came home today and she didn't like the lay box so she laid them under her hide.

4 look white but they are all stuck together
the other 7 are slugs

She lost a lot of weight so I fed her a small meal and she took that without a problem
even took a huge drink

Put her back in her cage and straight for the hide where the eggs used to be

If I could easily do it I would

I dont think I could keep the temps and humidity where they need to be.
