This forum is not a place of forgiveness or love.

I, after having 3 snakes to tend to ( a bull, a pine, and a corn), for over a year while the owner was else wise incapacitated, mean whole heartedly that this board is for library info only and nothing else. Especially including any and all advice, opinions, emotions, and just talking to anyone.

The people on this board are what I call "cromags" and should not give you pause in one way or the other for any reason at all. They are not who they pretend to be.

They will crucify you of any mistake you may make with your snake(s) and are a bunch of holier than thou - soapbox ministers.

I highly recommend avoiding this site for anything to do with your pet snake ownership, community, or real advice.

I have to disagree with you. I have made a lot of friends through this site that has helped me through my mistakes with loving arms. Perhaps one's attitude has everything to do with how others will approach each thread.
 
Odd that you log in for the first time in 7 years to say that.. this is the best snake forum I have found. Out of the other forums that I am a member on, this is the only one that I have ever felt welcome on. Sorry that you disagree, guess we're all entitled to our opinions.
 
I am really sorry you feel that way. I think some time off from the site to reconsider things might be best. This really is a great site.
I am giving you a one year ban to think it over.

Was just about to say the same thing.

Things may have changed. Don't be so quick to judge the current members by the words/actions of those from 2005.

Also, I have learned more from this website than I ever could have in a library.
 
Fact : The people here do tend to be quite passionate about the welfare of snakes and other animals. Which is as it should be imo.

Fact : I have met some of the best people I have EVER met through this forum, and this place is like home to me. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Question : Since this is your first post in 7 years has it taken 7 years for you to figure out that this place is not to your liking or are you just being bridgey? And if it is the former why not just fade into the sunset?

edited to add....Not a place of forgiveness or love? Are you kidding?? There are many people here that I LOVE to talk to, and hear from. There are people here I LOVE as friends. As far as forgiveness, Nanci forgives me almost daily!! :)
 
Wilson, I saw that you are 40 years old? The title of this thread does not reflect that, if it is fact.
What I read from your post is that 7 years ago you made a mistake, people called you on it, and now you are coming back and trying to make the whole site look bad?
That really reflects maturity...
 
There are kinds of people on this forum. I only have one 87 gram corn snake and no years of experience caring for snakes, but this site can give valuable advice and constructive criticism . I would like to find a better site, but do not think it exists or at least would not be much different from this one.
