Got these three new pets at Repticon in Columbia, SC today, 3/14/2010. They were all born in 2009.

#1 = Red Okeetee Corn Snake ('09), female, purchased 3/14/2010 from Palmetto Reptiles at Repticon Columbia .

This was my first herp show. I wanted to buy everything in sight. I actually went to the show with the intention of just getting a single Okeetee. I wanted a Butter corn, too, but they were very scarce by this second day of the show. When I couldn't find a Butter corn, I started looking at the Caramels. It was slippery slope after that. :)

There were very few butters at the show at all, actually, unless I missed a vendor. I bought the two-day ticket so I could get in an hour early on Saturday, and there were only three vendors that I saw who had butters at all. One was right near the snack bar (Classic Constrictors), one was in the corner diagonal to the entrance (only had one or two by the time I found him; set up next to the guy with a tank of hairless rats) and I can't recall where the other was.

You and I were apparently thinking on the same lines at Repticon ;) I ended up with a butter, a golddust and an amel. I wanted to get one of Palmetto's okeetees too, but I decided to support my boyfriend's gecko addiction instead.
 
Well, the next Repticon Columbia will be in June and perhaps I can find some more butters if the spring babies have hatched by then. I had gotten a message from Palmetto Reptiles the day before the show about their Okeetee availability. I was just hoping they would have some left by Sunday and they did have several Red Okeetees and some locality okeetees from which to choose. I was very pleased with the Red Okeetee I purchased. Still, I was sorely tempted by some of their other corns, as well.
Disappointed in not finding a good butter, I ended up with an excellent deal on the two Caramels . Too many corns, too little time and money. :)
