Throat caves in while drinking

Lately I have observed with my big amel Synth, when he takes a drink of water his throat right behind his jaws to about 3 inches back, caves in so his neck/body is horseshoe shaped. I'm not overly concerned with it, it pops back out within a matter of a minute or so... Was just wondering if anyone had ever seen this before.
 
Glad to hear! Its pretty extreme, none of the other snakes do it to such an extent.. I'll have to get a picture. Thanks :)
 
I think it's cute when they drink too! I've only seen 2 of my snakes get a drink though. I guess they don't drink much.

I've never seen mine get a drink on her own, but whenever I'm lowering her back into her enclosure, she always drinks while dangling from my hand.
