Tiger Mutation?

Does anyone out there have any detailed (or anecdotal) info on this thing that ECW and BHB Reptiles are calling "Tiger"? BHB is claiming is it a "new proven mutation of genetic striping pattern" (https://www.morphmarket.com/us/c/reptiles/colubrids/corn-snakes/1546193). I'm interested if breeding trials have been done that prove it is a new distinct mutation, and if so what its mode of inheritance is (recessive, incomplete dominant, or dominant).

It appears, from the very brief video posted here (https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1501642466711346), that BHB is saying this "potential mutation" decreases the distance between the dorsal blotches. Regardless, that look has been achieved through selective breeding previously, and is not what we in the hobby would refer to as "striped" (i.e., lines running from head to tail as in Tessera, Terrazzo, or Stripe). Additionally, and importantly, the name "Tiger" is already being used for the combination of Okeetee and Buf (https://iansvivarium.com/morphs/?m=tiger). IMO, we do not need any further name confusion in Corn Snakes :).

Hmm. Maybe it's me, but this seems less than clear. The video is older, but as you said, Neil, these snakes are not what we in the hobby would call striped. They definitely have saddles.

What does the breeder say about this "proven gene?" Have you been able to contact them about it? I'm also curious now.

I had a member of MM admin ask me about it because the ad has been flagged as not being a real morph.

I really don't think it's anything special or game changing. It certainly doesn't deserve he name tiger or even calling it a striped mutation.

MM staff has told me if you see anything wrong with an ad to just flag it especially if the morph isn't right or is something made up like "green cinder".

It's not even a good example of banded, either. You want a good banded, go look at some of Carol's babies.
Frankly, I view it at yet another marketing scheme.
