Hello fellow herps...

Today i finished building my 2 tier snake vivs, about 3 weeks ago i was given an adult pair of amel corns that had been kept together for the last 12 months, today i split them up as i am hoping they wont have bred (very unlikely i know), how long before i can safely say she is NOT gravid.......

steve

ps, is butter a dominant or recessive trait, as the male looks very buttery if you know what i mean....

Butter is recessive... It's actually a combo of two recessive genes. Caramel and Amel.

There are very, very few "dominant" genes in corn snakes. The two proven ones are Tessera and Buff. Redcoat may be another one.

thank you Alicat, i guess its just a different shade, will post some pics tomorrow.....thanks again.
