Have you guys ever bred 2 totally different male corns to the same female corn? When i say 2 totally different i mean 2 totally different morph's. For example lets say you have a butter female and you breed her with a bloodred and breed her again with a butter stripe. Has anyone ever done this and what would happen? What will the hatchlings be? I'm just really curious!

I have used 2 males, you can get a mixed clutch from 2 fathers, only thing is unless you're positive about all hets carried by each snake, it can lead to confusion over which make fathered a baby - not exactly what you want when most people want to know the parantage of snakes they buy.

So how would it work? I mean will it cause the babies to come out all normals with hets or will i get butter stripes, butters, etc. I'm just a little confused on that part. Does the female use both the males sperm? Does she only accept one male? What exactly happens?

well

If the male is a good breeder that breeds the female first all the babys (eggs) will be fertalized by the first male bred imo
You are welcome to come see how I Do it here, breedng season is in fUll swing!

You have a butter female (no hets) that mates with a bloodred male (no hets) and minutes later is bred again by a butter stripe male (no hets). Theoretically, both males could fertilize different eggs so you could get a mixed clutch of normals het butter bloodred and butters het stripe.

A more common scenario where you could have hatchlings fathered by 2 different males is when a female retains sperm from a prior breeding, such as when she is double clutched but bred by a different male for the second clutch and yet has retained sperm from the first clutch.

I did this last year and did indeed wind up with babies from both fathers. I knew for certain though the genetics of the female and the 2 fathers. So I knew what the babies would be from each father. There were only a few babies from the younger male and the rest were from the experienced males.

Oh i see! that's awesome! So all the normals that come out of the clutch would be from the bloodred father which would be het for butter and bloodred and the butter babies would come out het stripe? I think i got it now!
