Okay so I use reptile bark as bedding and well last night I was holding Ziggy and well I saw a splinter in Ziggy’s side. I tired softly rubbing my fingers to see it was just come out. I didn’t feel to grand but I pulled it out with my fingernails. It was pretty deep a little blood came out. What should I put over the little hole to keep it clean?Think I could take Ziggy out of the bedding till it heals for a few days? :shrugs:

The best substate is paper towels, or aspen. I would put some neosporin on it and keep him on paper towels for a few days. Good Luck!

A great skin antiseptic is Nolvasan solution(aka: chlorahexadine). We use it in veterinary medicine all the time. In fact, its one of my solutions I use to clean out abscesses. The solution is also well known for lasting about 6 hours on the skin. :)
