Too big?

I gave my little boy a little mouse, the mouse is not bigger than the snake's thicker part of the body but it's been an hour and a half and he is still eating the little mouse.... the mouse is too big for him?

weird that it's been an hour but kings can typically take mice a bit bigger than the thickest part of their body. Maybe your guy is just a little slow. Is this a new size mouse for him, or has he eaten this size before?

Is the snake in blue? Sometimes when my young female Cali is in blue, she takes ten times as long to eat a mouse as when she is not blue.

My kings are just a lot slower in general than corns to eat. Still, that seems like a longish time. But, the few times I've given a snake a mouse that they considered too large, (and it's always been kingsnakes) they've eventually spit it back out.
