heya, this isn a feeding problem but dunno where else to write it lol
is feeding my corn twice a week too much ?
i was feeding her on a thursday and a saturday is that too much ?

thanks :)

Yes, That a little too much. Try every five to seven day.

You know that you shouldn't handle your snake for 48 hours after feeding right.

I'm guessing you have an hatchling, baby, for that advice

What kind /morph of snake do you have???

If you use the search feature to look up the Munson Plan, that'll give you a good feeding schedule for your snake. It's what we're using for ours. Alternatively, you could check out Roy Munson's Serpent Lounge on the main forum page, I believe he has it stickied there.

i only ask because ppl are tellin me diff things theres ppl tellin me to feed twice a week and what not so i jus hadda ask to be sure ... and she is an amel

You said in another thread that your snake was eating two pinkies. Feeding her two at once will be fine, if that's what she needs. It also won't hurt her at all to space them out a day or two if she doesn't want to eat them at once. They'll digest just fine. What you want to avoid is stuffing her like a goose.

One thing that is missing from the whole "how much to feed" discussion here is how big she is. Can you ballpark her size? Little-finger diameter? Pencil? Cricket bat handle? :p (I figure being from Ireland that'd be a handy reference! (My wife is from England.)) Her diameter (the snake's, not my wife's) will give a good approximation of how much she should eat in a week. If she's slightly bigger around than a pinkie, she's probably perfect for two pinkies. We have a yearling who is just over little-finger diameter, and she's growing fine with two pinkies at once every four or five days. We'll be taking her to a small fuzzy in the next few feedings.

Sorry but I don't agree with this practice. I believe it would promote a regurge.

And I agree with Lennycorn! Don't space out the pinks like that. Feed them every 5-7 days if it a juvinille or sub-adult and every 10-14 days if it's an older snake. Feeding too soon, can and probably will cause a regurge!

shes been moved up to small fuzzys(stoopid me didn think to jus move her up a size because she is big enough) now so i only feed her 1 fuzzy a week
