Too thin?

Hi guys. This is my first corn and I have thought he was a little thin since I got him 6 weeks ago. I've kept him on his previous feeding schedule of 1 hopper a week, but I think I'm going to up his feed... just wanted to run it by you guys first. I'm sorry I don't have a gram scale yet so can't go by the munson plan. I have a 100 ct bag of hoppers, but nothing bigger. Here are my options: 1 hopper every 5 days, 2 hoppers every 5 or 7 days, or 1 hopper & 1 fuzzy every 5 or 7 days. I guess first, do you think upping his food is necessary at all and second, what would you do with the above combination of hoppers/fuzzies? Thanks so much! Here's the pics:

(Ignore the towel. I'm not afraid of handling him bare handed <gg> I freaked him out with the camera and he musked me a bit. In wiping him down he, of course, curled around the towel.)

He's a little lean whats his age? I would first go to one hopper every five days for at least 3-4 feedings and then 1 and a half of another hopper for another few feedings. Then you can up it to two hoppers every 7 as long as he's digesting well:)

Thanks Danielle! That's exactly what I was looking for. I don't know how old he is. We got him with very little info. I felt lucky I was able to figure out what he'd been eating and how often. Some guy at my hubby's work had him left behind by his young adult son who wasn't really caring for him, so hubby brought him home and got very little info from the dad :(

I think Danielle's approach is right. No harm on keeping him on multiple hoppers until you've finished your supply, especially as that's what he was used to. Keeping him on singles until he's settled is a good move - you don't want to start pushing his digestion just yet, as he'll still be stressed from all the other changes in his life.

He's on the thin side, but he's certainly nowhere near the danger zone. Keep a careful eye on his weight, as it can pile on quite fast and the flab sneaks up on you (I know - I've been there with one of mine!).

Thanks Bitsy :) Nice to know he's not in the danger zone and I'll definitely watch for him to get too heavy!

I just wanted to add that I love your towel picture, it looks great. I just purchased my first DSLR camera in hopes to someday take pictures like that. It's been pretty confusing so far. Any your pictures turned out very nice.
