I have to move to another town for a few weeks because of work, and I'm taking my snake with me since I don't like being parted with him for more than a 2-3 days at a time. The problem is, however, that my sneaky one went blue some time over the weekend (I was away for a couple of days so I don't know the exact time). I'm supposed to leave this Sunday and I seriously doubt he's going to shed before being transported since he's still just a little bit grayish and his eyes are slightly opaque (although he is generally pretty quick to shed, usually drops his old skin the day after he clears up). So my question is, are there any risks involved in transporting a soon-to-shed snake? At most the trip should only last about five hours and I can mist his travel box so there's never too little moisture, but I'm still a bit worried. He hasn't had a bad shed since I've had him, but I'm concerned the stress of traveling will mess up the process.
