Traveling with a snake

Hi all, i'm moving house soon and its about a 4 and a half hour drive, will my snake be cool in a tub with some bedding and a hide for about 6 hours without the heat mat, i figure he will be but i'd rather be safe than sorry.

As long as he's kept in suitable temperatures (high 60s to low 80s Fahrenheit), he should be fine with no heat. I had the.. er... "pleasure" of moving to a new place 12 hours away at the start of this year. My corn snakes (and other reptiles) spent the trip at around 65-70F and came through it with no problems.

Depends on the Temp outside. As long as the temp is comfortable for you the snake could be ok. Just remember that if you stop to eat lunch that you roll down the windows so the car does not get to hot or keep them up so it does not get to cold.

I would first put the snake in a pillow case tied up and then put the snake into the tub. That way it can not escape into the car.
