Traveling with a snake

has any one had to travel or move with a corn snake? I ask cause there is an off chance I may get to move to another country for a while and of course I would bring my cat but would also like to take my newly acquired corn snake. how would i go about doing it if its even possible?
 
I guess I would be inclined first of all to check out the legal requirements of the country you are moving to.
 
aside from the legality of is there any way of transporting a snake on a plane or any thing I would have to do to ensure that she stayed alive?
