Twitterers?

So since Twitter is gaining in popularity, I though I'd see who on here was a Twitterer. Hubby got me turned on to this whole ordeal. It is kinda of fun, albeit pointless in all actuality. A little bit of folly is always needed though

I am truly kidding. I just recently signed up with facebook, please don't tempt me to get on yet ANOTHER networking site!!......lol

The good thing about Twitter is that it's not really demanding at all! You can set it up to your phone, and go from there. I think I've only been on the actual website a handful of times. Its more of a way to update what you're doing, thinking, or whatever the heck else you want to do. Waaaaaaaaaaaay less intimate than say, Facebook.

Well, so far, I'm unimpressed. I think I was confused- I thought if I let someone follow me, then I'd automatically follow them! I think I was wrong. So I followed a few more people. Maybe I'll remember to tweet from the serpentarium Saturday. I may have forgotten the phone number, though...

Personally, I just don't get this whole Twitter business. It just looks like a web based form of IRC or even USENET (when it wasn't really used to it's full potential) to me. Is there more to it than that? Do people these days even know what IRC or USENET are or even use them anymore? Actually, Twitter to me resembles a forum thread such as DYK mixed together with the social friendship add-on thing that myspace and facebook have. Again, I just don't get it nor understand the hype. :shrugs:

I'm on there as well. I'm there as KCSuzy. I mostly talk about baseball (and that's mainly what I read about, too!) so if you're not interested in sports, i'd probably bore you.

I still fall under the category of not knowing/understanding/getting twitter. I tend to think of myself as tech savvy, but I guess I've ignored twitter.

Okay, I think my Twitter confusion is decreasing. I thought, if I signed up, I'd get Tweets on my phone. I don't think that is true. I think you have to look at the webpage, or have an app on an iPhone or Touch. SO ANYWAY, I think I can _send_ Tweets to the phone number from my cell. Which is the plan for Daytona. But now that I have the new Touch, I have that app on it, so I can get Tweets anywhere that has wireless, so now we all have to start using it!

I signed up for Twitter about a month ago (I think),

I have only used it a couple of times. But I thought it might be useful for letting customers and/or friends know when I am going to a show, or updating my site, or maybe if I hatch out, or acquire, something really cool.
