the guy i got it from said he would not call it one, that is up to me if i wanted to call it an okeetee
But it sure looks like one to me

If it was sold to him as okeetee I don't know why he'd feel like it wasnt...

I've seen okeetee's with smaller saddle borders than that one. You've got a GREAT looking okeetee there

The miami is nice looking too...

they are absolutly gorgeous!!! how could you mistake them for anything other then an okeetee and a miami :) good luck with your new friends

2 wonderful, colourful snakes......... :)

Ditto. Just cooler than all get out- you got mates for them or are ya lookin'?

And what age/kind of BP didja pick up along with these? Was your 4yo any special moprph?

curios . . ;]

Congrats on them though- very pretty.

The female Miami is going to to be paired with my adult 8 yr Okeetee.
The BP that i traded was just a normal BP
The BP i got in the trade is a 05 normal BP with a birth defect (lump on back)bent spine due to temperature fluctuation.

The male Okeetee i have not found a female for yet...so if you know of any female's
the two new snakes are about 17-19 months of age

Maybe the reason he didn't necessarily want to call this snake an "okeetee" is because it may not even be of original hunt club lines at all? Maybe it would be more correct to refer to this as a "lookatee" if you don't know for sure it is of the actual lines of snakes found on the okeetee hunt club land?

It seems to me that selectively bred lookatees are much more flashy and clean colored with really nice thick borders that true okeetees...

Anyway just my two cents. By the way I would KILL for that snake! :)

As previously mentioned you shouldn't even have to ask about that one, definately an Okeetee!! Beautiful snake, did you trade with a breeder? I'm in Saskatchewan and if it was a breeder I'd love to know which one cause if he/she wasn't sure about calling that one an Okeetee I'd love to see if they have one they do consider one

in this snakes short life i am actually the 4th and final owner counting the breeder.

I have no idea how hatched him i believe it was from the states or Ontario.

Sounds just like my male Okeetee, he was originally from Kathy Love and had two previous owners before coming to me.

He actually looks a bit familiar.
