I cut back on my snakes about 2 months ago and rodents about 4 months ago. I kept my original female rat who is probably close to 2 years old. Reluctantly I gave a neighbors grand-daughter two young male rats and cage... She decided she didn't want them anymore, fine. I didn't want them back, I have one very small cage left, besdies the one the Mama rat is in. She tells me the other night she found a home for one and the people want the set-up, so she is letting the other rat go. I am forced to house the male and female together, as the small cage is really small. I love the rats I just didn't like killing them for snake food. The male is not tame and very shy.
