Ultramel Reverse Okeetee Project

Hi everyone.

I thought I'd share these pics of the first ultramel ro that hatched this morning. He's gorgeous, but I'm still hoping there'll be some others with wider borders. I see some more ultramel noses pipping, so hopefully by the time I get home today, there'll be more out. I'm particularly intersted to see what the ultramel in the last 2 pics is going to look like. I hope the rest of his body is the colour of his head - it's gorgeous!

Regards,

Chantel (SA)

There are other people here with okeetee-phase ultramels, I believe. Also, RO doesn't work with ultramel, because RO means an amel animal with huge borders. An okeetee-phase amel.

Sorry, I actually realise that. It's just a bad habit I guess, referring to my Ultramel / RO project.

I'm also well aware of the fact that there are other ultramel okeetee phase corns. It was when I first saw pics of them on this site a few years back that made me decide to try make my own. Unfortunately there are no others here in SA, so I had no choice but to go the long route and make my own. Except I used a golddust motley to pair up with my RO's, which was the only ultramel based morph I had at the time.

Hopefully I'll get some with nice super wide RO borders. I'm definately holding thumbs, lol!

"I thought I'd share these pics of the first ultramel ro that hatched this morning" - Sorry, I just realised my wording is misleading. I actually meant the first baby to hatch from my RO x Ultramel clutch. I didn't mean to imply that this is the only Ultramel Okeetee Phase in the world, lol!

Looks like a real good snake to start with...And since "Reverse Okeetee" refers to the amel version, how about calling them "Transmogrified Okeetees" ;)

The first one is gorgeous! I think "ultramel Okeetee phase" is the name you are all looking for. And that one still in the egg might be an ultra Okeetee phase!

WOW Great looking hatchling!!:cool: It will keep on getting better too!! Here's an Ultramel Okeette I hatched out in 2008. I think he was around 6 months in this photo.

On that note: Here is my Ultramel that Don Soderberg produced. She came from a High White Reverse Okeetee X Ultramel

She may not be 100% Okeetee but she does have nice borders for an Ultramel :)

Wow, those are awesome. Thanks so much for sharing your pics!

Some more hatched out last night, and I'm so happy with them. Some of them are rather dark for Ultramels, but they can't be anything else. The mother is a High White Reverse Okeetee and the father is an Ultramel het caramel.

But the one is REALLY dark (almost plumb colour), but still ultramel like. I'm crazy about them, lol!

Very Nice!

Since Ultramel can be almost as light as a Amel I would call them Ultramel Reverse Okeetees those are really nice animals

It's my fault for assuming this was an F2 generation. When I see "project" and results already, I automatically think of all my own projects which would need the F2 generation to see the results.

Those are fantastic ultramel Okeetees! The ultramel mother must have some great borders in her own right to produce these with a high white RO father!

Those Ultramel Okeetees are awesome! I love the variation within the clutch. One of them in the photos you've posted have phenomenal borders, I think. Congrats :)

Yes, I did keep that one! I couldn't resist, lol! Actually, that one has just produced the most amazing clutch of High White RO's (I recently posted this thread of her babies: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119779). I'm very pleased with those babies. I'm also expecting a clutch of Ultramel Okeetees to hatch soon from one of my super high white reverse okeetee females. Really looking forward to seeing those babies.

I will take pics soon of the one you are referring to in your post. She's a real beauty!

Those are really great looking hatchlings. I especially like the plum coloration of some and the way a few of the ultramels are exhibiting alot of the yellowish/orange ground color normally associated witha a normal okeetee.

Nice job and project.

Great looking pips looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Also your EROs are amazing!! I love them
