Unexpected Capture of a garter and Updates on Worm!

Lyion

~♪Sorry and Thanks♪~
So, while traveling with a friend, I saw what I thought to be a large earthworm in the middle of a driveway on a sunny day. I jumped out to grab the worm and put it back in the dirt, so that it wouldn't dry up and die or be ran over. When I approached, I instead found a baby sunning garter.

After a moment of awe and awwwwwwws, I grabbed a little net (because I didn't want it to trash too much on concrete and hurt itself) and scooped it up. Luckily, my trusty camera was close. It wasn't much, but it was a pleasant surprise. I returned him to a more rural place with far less cars. Also, annoyingly enough, the camera autofocused on my hand rather than the snake.

Anyways, the little bugger reminded me of my cornsnake, Wyrm. Wyrm was about the same size as the garter when he got out, and after seven months, we found Wyrm!

I was going to do a size comparison with Wyrm and Xia....

So I took a picture of Xia on my carpet...

And tried to do the same with Wyrm. Unfortunately, Wyrm is not cooperative....

...so I held him in the light instead

Anyways, look at those colors! He's a pretty boy if I do say so myself.

Very cute! It doesn't look like a Garter, though. Are you sure it wasn't a Dekay's Snake?

Yes they are. Baby DeKay's are awesome snakes, but look identicle to a brown earthworm. You start to see color as they grow
