Unnamed - Motley Snow [Progression]

1st post on here, but I have been reading up A LOT from this site.
My GF and I finally got our corn snakes this weekend.

I purchased a Motley Snow Corn (Purchased as a Snow, but I do believe it is Motley from what I've read). He/She is unnamed at the moment until I get it popped.

I weighed it tonight and it weighed in at a whoppin' 147g :p

Could anyone take a stab at the age? The guy we went with was thinking around 5 months or so?

Anyways enough chitchat... how about some pics!

This one really shows its yellow, I love it

Thanks for looking guys, more to come as he grows!

I would guess it's an '07. Corns don't really get that big in 5 months. Looks awesome though!!!

that is HUGE for an '08 ... I agree it's got to be an '07 ... I would think that it would have to be probed given it's size...

I think that it could possibly be an early '08 that was powerfed, but I don't think it would be very probable that a 5 month old corn could attain that size. It really is pretty though!

I would have to agree with the motley part and also, I think probably an early '08. Means its probably about a year old. Also, as lostandfound said, it will have to be probed because of its size... In my opinion anything over 50 grams is just too dangerious to be popped and could possibly hurt it. Very pretty, I dont like all the yellow on my snows but the other colors it has makes it very pretty. :)

So I called Critter Jungle, and got some info on this little guy.
They said he was an 08' and is going on 1 year of age.

Update:
This guy also had his first feeding with us last night. I gave him the biggest hopper the store had, and it left him a nice lump in his tum-tum. I am thinking of calling this guy slingshot, plus it's a unisex name, as it has still not been probed yet.
Unfortunately I did not get pics of this one either :( which is too bad because I could have gotten some nice gravity shots.

Judging by this thread http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80706, I don't think that it is an 07'. But I do agree that it is definitely not 5 months :p
I will be calling the store today to see if the owner would know a little bit more about his age/history.

I just wanted to say that it's pretty hard to judge a snake by its size. My corn is an '07, and he just weighed in at 160 grams last week. :) (Link)
I see that you did find out it's an 08, though. Wow! That's a large 08! And very beautiful. :)

So my father and I finished slingshots Viv last weekend. It took a while, but it was definetely worth it. It's 4 x 2 x 2, has 1/4 inch glass, and the branch/stump were from a dead, dried out tree. We hollowed out the stump to make a hide for him, so far he is loving it. I have even found hiim chilling on top of it.

I also found out that Slingshot really loves my watch...

I also have some updated pics of Slingshot feeding.
They had no small adults, so he had 2 hoppers, total of 22g.

Wow, that is a lot of yellow! What a gorgeous snake.
And the stump is a great idea. I'd love to do something like that but I don't think my cage is tall enough lol.

So I just posted some pics of Waldo in his progression thread, and I will not lie, I got a little carried away with pics of my snake :D
I'll only post a few, as there are tons.
Also, my little man seems to be in lady hunting mode, and has been refusing food for a month, sucks, but it happens...

I'll also post some pics of his tank, as I have made some modifications to increase airflow, and lower humidity.
Thanks for looking!

Wow I love the motley pattern and that awesome streak of yellow!!

I have a blizzard about the same age who's starting to develop some yellow, but it is definitely not and strong and vibrant as yours!!

Absolutely gorgeous.

So it's been a couple of months since my last post, but I have been enjoying the Photos section daily.
My Slingshot is now roughly 40" and 230g! He is now on adult mice (we also started breeding our own Mice and ASFs). So here are the pics, sorry for the quality of some of them, I need a blue bowl apparently :)
