Very nice snakes! they are beautiful. Your sunglow looks like a amel to me? most of the sunglows i see are like this ..... http://www.cornsnakes.net/gallery.php3?id=34&alt=4 , just my opinion-John
My Sunglow(almost 1 year old) is still in the transition from a hatchling to an adult...She does have some white in her but are slowly disappearing with age. I have been told by many she is a sunglow....can anyone help? opinions? Amel or Sunglow? :shrugs:

yes, you are correct, sorry. It has been a long day at school, we're MEAP testing, fun fun. It is a beautiful little SUNGLOW. John

"Juveniles of this colour morph are a little different to your average amelanistic hatchling - the juveniles of this colour morph have bright orange to red saddles and the background colouration is pale with speckling of bright orange between the saddles. " silly me- John

Where did you get that inforamtion John ? As far as I know, a sunglow can only be called sunglow when the wgite has dissappeared. Until then, You could only call it; 'expected to be sunglow from parental phenotypes' IMO.

Yep I have to agree with Blutengel. It just ain't a Sunglow if it has white on it. So, if it was my snake I would just call it an Amel for now.

I KNEW i knew that. I just am so confused today. That's why i called it an amel. Oh and the "Juveniles of this colour morph are a little different to your average amelanistic hatchling - the juveniles of this colour morph have bright orange to red saddles and the background colouration is pale with speckling of bright orange between the saddles. " i got that off of this website. http://www.snakesalive.co.za/designercorn.php
i wasnt completly positive and this was the only website with something on juvinlile sunglows so i figured it was correct. I figured wrong. John

Definitely not a sunglow. That's the trouble with line-bred animals---never can quite tell what's going to turn out looking like a good sunglow or what's going to turn into a 'regular' amel.
