UTH placement in spilt viv?

I just bought a 40 gal breeder tank that I'm gonna add a divider to for my two corns. My question is how do I set up the UTH? Do I have one large one in the center where the divider is? Or a smaller one on opposite ends of the viv?

I do this, I split the UTH between two tanks and use a probe thermometer in each. The thermostat (I use a cheap dimmer slide to control the heat).

I would put the the larger UTH between the tanks, that way the snakes are monitored all the time with the probe thermometer.

I have a divided tank (with a corn and ball python; the ball python needs more heat) so I have a larger UTH and put it under the divider. It will save you money on UTHs and thermostats, that's for sure!
