Hi there, so Im going on vacation on the 19th and coming back the 1st. I was wondering If I feed her on the 19th how long can she go without being fed, can she wait till the first? I fed her today and I am going to feed her again on Wed. or Thursday of this week. How long will her water last and do I need someone to come give her some of if she is out for a day or so will she be fine. My apt. is usually between 75 - 78 degrees and her viv. has a UTH so her heat will be fine. Basically I want to know if she will be alright, this will be my first time away from her and I worried/concerned for her well being. Thanks. :) :bounce:

How old is your snake? If it's a yearling or older I think it'd be fine if she's not fed for 2 weeks. Snakes in the wild don't have strict once a week feeding schedules anyways.

I would actually feed her a little earlier, like the 16 or 17, just so you can make sure she doesn't regurg before you leave.

If possible I think you should have someone go over your house at least once every 2-3 days just to make sure she's alright and give her fresh water. But just tell them to make sure they lock her cage properly!!!

Shes only 4 months old and a great feeder, no regurge yet (yay) and Ive had her for almost a month. There is no way she could get out, so that isnt my big worry. I just want to make sure she can go that long without eating. I hear people say wait ten days for a regurge so I imagine 3 more days cant be too bad right?

I completely agree, your snake will be fine without food for two weeks. I would just put in an extra water dish, just in case one gets dirty. Two weeks really is not very long. Have fun on your vacation!

Well I leave today and she fed well so Im not worried. My only worry really is that she loves the cold side of the tank under her water dish, I hope she will be fine. :) Wish her luck thanks.

yeah, just makes sure you put a big dish of water in there that will for sure last two weeks. I've found I need about a one litre bowl (4 cups) to last that long.
