Ventilation

I've been having trouble keeping the temps up in the cool side of the tank at night, so I've got a towel covering the screen top to keep heat from escaping so readily. The corners of the lid are not covered. Is this providing enough ventilation? Surely a towel is not airtight, but it definitely cuts down on the amount of air flow.

What do you guys think?

Even if you cover completely with a towel there would still be plenty of air movement. But with the corners uncovered you are surely in the clear.
Peace

Hi There!
Yes, you should have plenty of ventilation & keep the air a bit warmer! I use towels on occasion just as you describe.
:)
