Very Active after feeding?

My yearling corn( was told he was a blood-red, but i feel he might be a normal stripe), seems particularly active the day after i fed him. Shouldnt snakes tend to be alil sluggish after a meal? could it be that the cage still smells of mice and he's still hungry? ( Yes i sniffed ;) , though why it does i dunno coz i feed him from tongs).

Another question, what size should a yearling + corn be around? Considering mine is a stripe ( heard that stripes grow slower), and around a year plus..is 50~52 inches a normal size?

Will be posting up some pics soon

Usually feeding causes the snakes to go into a "frenzy" mode, where they'll be ready to gobble down the first thing they can fit into their mouth for a couple minutes after they get the first mouse down. So yep, he's probably looking for another mouse. But don't give him another mouse unless you think one isn't enough, since it usually leads to overfeeding.

50 inches for a yearling? That's on the huge side if you ask me. You sure he's a yearling and not like 2-3 years old? Yearlings reaching 3 ft is sort of uncommon, and most yearlings I've had stayed sub 3 ft actually.
