im gonna clean my viv tomorrow with white vinegar which ive heard is a natural disinfectant but i wanna know is how much do you mix with water or do you put it in then rinse with water after cleaning?
thanx :crazy02:

i dont think you need to use very much at all. id put maybe 1/8th vinegar and the rest hot water to wash it. then rinse it well with hot water.

i dont know if thats the best method, someone here might have a better suggestion for you...but im pretty sure thats the amount you could use. Oh and its not like its poison so if you used a little bit too much it wouldnt do no harm...just as long as its rinsed well afterwards.

Rinsed very well. Vinegar is acetic acid. If you've ever built or repaired your own glass vivs and used "aquarium silicone sealant", the outgassed byproduct as it cures is essentially the same thing....and IIRC, the instructions for the silicone says to let it cure for two days to eliminate the acid.
