Suction cups can work well when they are small.

Or you can attach it to the top of your viv, either hook it in the lid itself or have something hanging down that it attaches to. Don't use tape. I wouldn't suggest gluing it or anything permanent like that.
 
Yep, agree with acetone, I use suction cups, I have also purchased pre manufactured one with suction cups already attached and I have also used Velcro on some things also.
 
suction cups work fine but if they can't hold the weight of your snake you can use a hot glue gun. If you decide you want to remove them and place them elsewhere just take a butter knife and apply a little force between the glue and the wall and it'll pop right off. Also if you've got a wooden viv and you can't get any suction or the glue won't hold, a staple gun will make sure they hold up against most snakes weight.
