ok, I know this might not have to do specifically on cornsnakes but since I know everyone here has a lot of knowledge on quite a few different animals I thought I'd give this a go. I currently work at a pet store in the reptile department and right now we have many different species of animals to care for. I have read and been told that the animals with skeletons such as the leopard geckos and chameleons, beardies etc. all need full spectrum lighting because they can not synthisize vitamine D3 without uvb, causing metabolic bone desease. But with the Crested geckos, corn snakes, hondurans etc. we do not (at least I don't ) have to reccomend it... So my question being, why is it that some species are fine without supplementing additional UVB such as the cornsnake?
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated
