hello everyone
had a 1 y.o. snake given to me last week, with a 15gal aquarium and some stuff to keep it alive, but i feel like the vivarium is getting small, and since i got some skills with wood working, i decided to make a vivarium by myself. had some time to loose tonight (working on night shift as security guard) i decided to draw what i thought would be suitable for the snake, but i'd like to receive some inputs before going ahead.

so heres what i've done so far,
the structure is 36'' long, 18'' large and 36/18'' high, made of 2x2 pine pieces. the low ceiling side will be the cool side. figured out i'll be using a heat lamp on the highest part of the high side, and a pad i already have down the glass floor. gonna separate both spaces, and get a small tree. what do you think about all this ?

k thats going to look cool, i like the split level idea, but theres one minor problem, your going to have to find some other kind of wood, pine is toxic to cornsnakes, so is cedar, your beter off going with a hard wood.

thats exactly the kind of stuff i needed to know, thanks alot folks

im open to styling inputs too, hehe

i should be starting the project soon

im gonna use 1/8 thick glass for the sides and 3/16 thick for the floor.
will cost me 45-50$ for the glass and no more than 30$ for the wood.
havnt check for the poly-urethane seal yet, but shouldnt cost much.

80$ not bad at all for a 90 galons vivarium !
