oh, I didn't buy a top...do I need a top..?


haha juuuust kidding, If you look in the first picture it's right there below the cage. I just finished setting it up and excitedly took the pictures without putting the top on. There is no snake in there...not for another week or so!
 
a few people on that other thread mentioned cooking the wood if you hadn't already. I really hope you have, because if not, then you're going to have to treat EVERYTHING in there because it could all be covered in pests by now as well.
 
"Cooking" wood

I know this is slightly off the topic but i think it is quite important. I have also found that i "cooked" the pieces of wood in the oven for up to 30 mins, just to find live "iems" inside the wood afterwards.

What I do now is to wet the wood thoroughly and then "nuke" it in the microwave. You have to be careful though because sometimes it catches fire but I have never again found any live thingies in the wood.
