My 7 month old butter corn vomited his meal after 2 days. He is a picky eater. How long do I wait to try to feed him again?

I remember reading somewhere that you should wait for some period of time for digestive fluids to come back.
 
you should wait around 7-10 days - check the temps and try to figure out if something external had an influence on his regurgitation
