Wat wld u recommend...

What colors/patterns do YOU like?

I wouldn't ask other people what I should get because only I know what I want. I don't know what you llke, but I would say a hypo lavender or butter, or bloodred stripe, or opal. However, those are my favorites, I don't know if they are yours or not but you asked for suggestions.

I would suggest visiting this site http://iansvivarium.com/cornmorphs.html and finding what you like.

Wade, you're awesome.

so far as I know, there are no corns that come with spell check. Maybe you can buy an expansion pack, or something.

As for the OP, I don't know what you should get without knowing what you have. Are you planning on breeding? Then get something that compliments what you already have. Not into breeding? Get something that looks different than what you have.

I like variety, why does it have to be a corn? My advice is go for a similar sized snake that's completely different. Boas and pythons can be just as awesome! Rosy boa, spotted python, black milk snake, but not an MBK, those are SO 2008.

i was thinking of getting another corn or a boa those were my only 2 choices.

big difference in the two choices. you think your ready for a boa? its not that much more complicated of care but a much heavier bodied snake. and some like bccs can be much more picky on enviroment stuff.

maybe you should just wait instead of asking what you should get. go to a show, a good shop, or a breeders place and see. if anything is like the oh i must have kinda feeling. then throw down the benjamins and pick it up. i would not rush into things at all in the herp world. its a big commitment and many snakes are left stranded in a bad home, or adopted out. how long have you been keeping snakes and what are your experiences are other questions to ask.

its all a matter of preference on what to get. i dont buy animals cause i want a new animal. i buy them cause its something that just appeals to me. wish i could say that on some other things.

There are a few things to consider Ziggy. Typically I would jump on the spell check bandwagon but a few have already beaten me to it. ;)

But lets look at a few things. What do you already have?
How long have you been keeping snakes? This is a major factor before recommending anything? We need to gauge your skill level. And to be honest, the way you come across here in a post will gauge your education and knowledge level. A well spoken person will come across very knowledgeable.

As for Boas, do you have the room, the equipment and the ability to feed it adult rats every week? These are costly animals to feed and care for. Can you make the commitment to keep an adult boa that could be over 8 feet for 20 years?

Hey Ziggy,

Judging from what you've said before, I think they're right and that the boa might be too difficult to take care of right now. From what I've read they need a lot of time and patience, and if you're not sure about room and money constraints, I would stick with corns if you're absolutely sure you can care for a second.

That said, I think charcoals are lovely.

(Oh, and here they've got a line in the rules about spelling and grammar, so write like you're going to turn in a paper to a teacher and they'll take you more seriously.)

Aw, go easy. Young hip people are used to text messages. Ziggy will catch on.

Take your time. With proper care, your snake will be part of your family for 15 years or more. As suggested above, just figure out what color morphs you like best and what you are capable of taking care of.

Best of luck! Post pics!

for the record, I think everyone is talking about boa constrictors. A sand boa, or a rosy would make fine pets, the have been beginner snakes for a few of my friends and stay smaller than a corn. And they are adorable - but not as adorable as a hognose which is scientifically proven to be the most adorable snake ever.

And there's a whole shed load of dwarf Boa constrictors t'boot..
But more to the point, there's Mozilla firefox which has it's own spel cheq

If you go for the boa, I love boas and would hope for pictures, just keep in mind that boas are big eaters, meaning a comparably sized boa can take down a fairly significantly larger meal than a corn.
