how do you guys weigh and measure your snakes? mine will not stay still enough to get a weight or length

Ditto for both.
Serpwidgets is awsome... just try and use mid-sized pics though, the program will handle it.. but just take a bit longer and also makes navigating around the field-of-view more difficult. Pics too small are less acurate though.

I don't regularly measure the length... is there a reason that you want to know the length?

The best weight method is to get a 'fish' scale... one with a hook... put the snake in a bag, put the bag on the hook.

Or, shut the snake in a container and put the container on the scale.

I don't weigh mine unless I'm looking to breed..
A super easy way to measure your snake is to set a measuring tape out along a floor board and let your snake slither naturally along the board. They tend to stay pretty straight.

I place the feeding bin (6qt sterilite) with the f/t mouse in it on a kitchen digital scale, ZERO tare it, which removes the weight of the bin&mouse, then place the snake inside the bin and get the reading.

Most of mine are just weighed on digi scales if one is been to active i put it in a rub and weigh and just take the weight of the rub off, I dont bother measureing the snakes however a rough way is watching them slither round the edge of the viv/rub
