Weird question... Mold?

Has anyone ever experienced mold on their hatchlings? This guy is trying to get some advice and I have never heard of this in my life. He says they have white fluff on them. I searched the net and cannot find anything about mold or white fluff on hatchlings. So odd... Any advice???

somekind of skin rot? I've got veterinary guide to snakes, and in the chapter on skin diseases there is nothing that could resemble what he's talking about :S

I had that problem only once. I lived in an apartment (before I began breeding) on the basement floor. The spare bedroom where I kept my one snake, 4 African Giant Praying Mantis, Bearded Dragon, 10 tropical plants, and crickets, had a crack in the foundation. The landlord never told us. So everytime it rained the carpet would get moist and the room would get really humid.
After living there for about 6 months my boyfriend and I noticed my plants getting really moldy. Most of them died. Then the Mantids started getting a white fuzz on them after they shed their exoskeletons. The too died. Then the crickets.
We did everything to try to get rid of the mold, but nothing worked and we didn't know where it was coming from. Finally my snake got it around her mouth and it grew in her cage on the moist Aspen.
At this point we confronted the landlord and he confessed. We moved out that month.
Needless to say I had the snake checked out and my vet said it should start going away now that we have moved, but to keep her dry for a while. No bathing and give her a water dish she can't swim in. Antibiotics wouldn't help in this situation and giving topical ointments can be harmful to a snake my vet told me.
It cleared up in a few months, but after about 5 months living in the new apartment she started showing signs of a neurological disorder. Before I could have her looked at she died.

I've seen white fluff on snake eggs, white fluff on fish, and even white fluff on a bowl full of strawberries, one time I pulled white fluff out of my navel as well, but no white fluff on hatchlings . . . sorry can't help out there. :(

I would assume some type of fungus from a too moist environment? (Edit: Like Arcanefate said!)
