Two Corns and Growing!
Well to start it off, she is a normal het amel motley from Susan, her parents were Alamo and Jazzy. I don't really have a name for her at the moment, I'm leaning towards Tarzan because she is always doing this lol http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83164. Except she hangs down more and kinda look like a tree python, I think its cute lol. (I think I have a pic of this, not sure). I've had her for about a week now and just fed her tonight, this was her third feeding, she had two with Susan and now one with me yay!..... Once I put the pinkie in there she was already halfway done within the first two minutes(I think that's awesome :)) I barely had any time to snap some shots lol. Her birth date landed on 4/18/09 just a few days later than my birthday 4/12/09. I managed to get a weight on her and she weighs 7 grams before the pinkie, I'll get a more recent weight on her in a few days after she's done digesting. So far shes very active always out cruising in the night and has for the most part a good attitude while handling. She hasn't struck at me or reared up so that's good. Well that's pretty much all for now but don't worry there will be alot more :). I'll update regularly. I'm going to post some pics with this post, not sure if all of them will fit but if not they will just go into the second post.

Lol thanks, at first I couldn't believe that she was fitting her small mouth around that big pinkie lol this is the first hatchling I've had so I was kinda freaked out

I've never had a hatchling but I'd imagine it would be nerve wracking feeding for the first time! They're so little! It almost looks like the pinky is going to pop out of the neck skin! Haha.

Lol thats funny I guess it happens to the best of us lol. But thanks alot, if I'm not mistaken Susan should still have a few more left I'm not sure if they would be out of the egg discount but still some beautiful snakes nonetheless.

Lol that was my exact thought, I was like "OMG shes going to pop" lol but she seemed to handle it pretty well. Its great knowing that she has no problem eating under stressful conditions, hopefully she will eat when shes blue. But I hope she doesn't have any problems with digesting I've never had regurge and I'm pretty sure that's nerve wracking as well.

Finding a Name for Her!!!!

Well after a week of constantly thinking I came across mine and hers zodiac sign, Aries, also known as the ram. Well after thinking about that I thought of Ares, the god of war(yes I am a god of war nerd lol) well I love that name but I just got to thinking.... hmmmm...... well it's a girl so shouldn't it be the goddess of war, Athena, instead of the god of war, Ares. Well tell me what you think, I still like the name Ares but at the same time I also like the name Athena because it fits her better you know having a girl's name instead of a guy's. Well thanks for listening to me ramble on about the Greek god's lol. But again what do you think? Also any other name suggestions are welcome who knows I might find another perfect name for her. Thanks again.
