hatched this out...the only one out of a clutch that was only marked second clutch on the box. Almost threw them out the other day. But probably for the best... This baby is badly kinked. But has something interesting going on.... It's going into shed in these pics... And for now I'll give it a chance.

just thought I'd share.

Russell this isn't even a Diffused, right? I've seen the lack of pigment beyond/on the dorsal ridge in other animals with spinal deformities. If memory serves, Rich Z. had just such and animal posted way back when he was breeding.
It's sad to see animals like this guy and yet it's an interesting development. Observations like this one help answer as many questions as they broach. Thanks for sharing.

Terri,
correct, not a diffused baby nor from pied sided bloodline. As I did not have any second clutches from animal he diffused except for my phantoms het lavender and diffused, and this guy is definetly not phantom!

Oh that is so sad that he's all kinked up. Gorgeous snake, even if the lack of pigment is because of whatever was wrong with the clutch. I hope he pulls through, just because he is beautiful.

Correct. Also back in the early 90's I remember Tim Rainwater produced one exactly like this, where the "Pied" area was it was severly kinked, also not Bloodred/Diffused.

Sorry for the misfortune of the kinking Russell :awcrap:

Walter
:crazy02:BOUT' CORNS !!

he's got kinking in the normal colored areas as well. I don't expect him to survive.

Oh well, we are always getting surprises and sometimes...sad surprises at that when breeding corns.

Could it be a case of paradox where the spines of the two animals fused at an odd angle? Did you get any white morphs from the clutch?
