What do numbers before snake name mean?

What do the numbers before snake names mean?

Example 1.1 bloodred, .2 motley etc.

I'm not sure how I would even search this so I'm asking it here.
Also, how do I find out more about what the terms mean accompanying snake names?
ex: amel, aner, het, hypo

if yo u see 1.0 Normal--- that mean it is a male normal
0.1 is a female.

2.3--2 males and 3 females. That help ya out?
