I just found this guy at my local animal shelter. What do you think he is? Lav? Charcoal? Any other possibilities? Also looks like he has a bit of an Aztec pattern. The shelter people are pretty clueless about him so i was hoping you guys could help me decide . . .

That's a great pic. My thought is ghost, if its belly pattern is grey on white. If it's black on white, then I would lean towards anery. But breeding would be the best way to prove him/her out.

A cornsnake. :roflmao:

Seriously though... Either a ghost or a light anery. Could be either, may even be anery het hypo. Your best bet is to breed him and find out. NOT lavender, NOT charcoal.

I agree, beautiful snake. My local rescues and humane societies have only had burms, balls, or very large boas in the last 12 months.

I am new to corns but think that aztec isn't the right way to go, more like somewhat banded to me.

Congrats.

I as well would say ghost or anery. I wouldn't call two saddles attaching to each other 'aztec', though.

As a matter of fact that snake is DEFINATELY A HYBRID you can tell by the ratio of it's jaw bone to the size of it's nostril not being a prime number when multiplied by the number of scales on it's vent. Not sure what it is crossed with .....hmmmm.. Better send it to me right away for further study! :crazy02:
