What I did to get my baby corn to eat

This is my first post on this forum and I'd like to say hello! I bought myself my first baby corn from a pet shop and the shop only had him for 4 days before I picked him up. Anyway The pet store tried feeding him (or her) and the snake chose not to eat. It took me almost 4 weeks to get him to eat.

Details about the snake
-6g in weight
-about a foot long
-about the width of a pencil

Details about the enclosure
-10 gallon tank
-soaking bowl plenty large for the snake
-40ish percent humidity
-low 80s hot spot
-mid 70s cool spot
-2 hides (one for the hot spot and one for the cool area)

So my snake wouldn't eat. (Every feeding attempt was a FT Pinky) I tried using feeding tongs, I tried braining the pinky, tried cutting its body, tried scenting the pinky, tried leaving the pinky in the enclosure all night, and still almost 4 weeks nothing would happen.

When I finally got my snake to eat, all I did was thaw out a pinky and put it in a brown paper lunch bag with my snake overnight (inside the enclosure)

In the morning there's a bulge in the snake and the pinky is gone. If you have a trouble feeder baby corn definitely try the brown paper bag method.

Hope this helps someone

Not a bad trick, I'll keep that in mind when I get my little ones this week. I also find covering the cage works for my little burm
