What I got at Daytona...

I am sure by now you all are tired of Daytona stuff...so I will make this short!

When I was walking around on the first day I saw these beautiful black rats (which I didn't know where black rats until I asked. There were 2 male whitesided black rats and one female albino. I kept going back to the booth asking questions and evenutally bringing my family to see them. Then I bought them! They are both 2 years old.

The female albino MAY be het for whitesided and the male whitesided IS het for albino. Now I have to see if I can get the female ready for next year...

Here is the female (VERY hard to photograph)

Here is the male. He is also pretty hard to photograph so I didn't take him out of his tub.

Definately a great pair to pick up. Nanci and I saw them at the show and they are just gorgeous! Will enjoy seeing updates of them!!

In person, both of these guys are amazing. The pictures don't do them justice! Dale, you should see the female- she's even prettier than the male in person.

Nanci

Thanks so much everyone!

I know! Those are not the best pictures. I have to find a good background to put them on so you can see their true colors...maybe grey? I can try when I weigh them in a minute.

Maybe outside in a tree? That keeps Wild Inez under control.

Nanci

That may work...unless he makes a flee for freedom. Haha

I got some when I put them in their feeding tub. They are better than the others so we will see. I will try different places to photograph him in the months ahead!

Here is the female...

Nice snakes Dave. Good luck getting the female ready for next year. It was nice meeting you and your family at the cornsnake dinner. :)

Much better! I almost always prefer normal colubrids to albinos, but the female is just so beautiful...Any names yet?
