what is a "hopper"?

A small mouse, bigger than a fuzzy, 14 to 18 days old, 8-12g according to rodentpro.

When they start "hopping" all over the place.

Hopper test ---

1 -- take mouse hold by base of tail.
2 -- outstretch other hand at a level of about 5 feet in air and place mouse on hand
3 -- release tail, be still and wait approx. .0000004 of a second
4 -- If mouse plummets to death, that was a hopper

:)

:eek1: How did I miss that? Thanks for pointing that out!

 Very true, and if you position the hand just right so that it is near the freezer, you may end up with a f/t hopper. :crazy02:
