So, It looks like i felt some things that felt like bumps, and it looks like her tummy is expanded a bit.... rounded edges. So anyways, Shes only a year old.... I provided some sphagum in a container..... which i put her in, and she came out... apparently doesnt like it in there. So .... Am I just playing the waiting game now? How long am I Waiting? a week? Two? Five? when should I get worried? because it is a young age to have eggs i think, even if they are slugs.... Thanks....

I dont see it being eggs ig im honest a year dose seem a bit young hoe big is she ehats her weight ?
Has she been in with a male ?
And how long if she is well how longs a piece of string lol it depends on when she first copulated with a male ?
If she is showimg swelling id say soon she will shed then after its 7-10 days after shell start laying as a rule but all snakes are diffrent lol.
And an egg laying box can be anything really from a large butter tub to icecream tub just cut a hole in the end big enough for her to get into and fill it with damp spagnum moss and she will go in there her self to lay the eggs when shes ready.
If she does lay eggs remove them and put them in a contaner filled with damp vermiculite and put in incubator for around 62 days at 82f and just take the lid off once a week to flush the air through.
Lightly mist every couple of weeks just to keep humidity up but try not to get the eggs to wet as ypu could drown them
When moving the eggs to the incubator dont rotate them as it will kill the embrio inside .
Furtile eggs are white and infertile are yellow.
Hope this helps

No No she hasn't copulated yet. I think she is going to lay some slugs...... there has been another few issues with that. At last weigh in she was 195 grams. She's about 3.5 to 4 feet

She sound a good size a weight just keep an eye on her and feed her regularly and she should be fine .
If she dose lay slugs check her after for retained eggs and then just give her a fue mice to bring her weight back up .

On the off chance she lays slugs, you absolutely do not want to "feed her a few mice" right after. If she does lay eggs, weigh her afterwards, and follow the same feeding rules you would for a snake that weighs that much. You don't want to over feed! Feeding her several mice in a row could cause a regurge, just like any other time.

I didnt mean just give her several mice lol start of with smaller offerings to begin with then.after a week or so go bacl to her normal feeding scedual but she will need a small feed after laying to build up her strength ect dont want to give her the normal size mouse as it could caulse regurgeatation and plus she is going to be extramly knackered golfing down a large mouse isnt going to help her recover lol so give her 3 of so small mice though say 10 days then wean her back on to the big foods

I am curious as to what happens with your girl. I have to agree with AliCat, give her very small meals for several feedings and then feed as you would a snake of her weight.

When Scarlett laid her slugs she went from about 200g to 150g after the few weeks of missing meals and laying. She gobbled up 2 pinkies right after she laid, and we are working back up slowly.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Reabsorbtion sounds like it would be best...let's cross our fingers for that one. Too young to be pregnant.

But the paternity test would prove you aren't the father!!! Here's hoping for a good turnout.
